The Full Review

The Vans Old Skool skate shoes are an iconic staple in both the skateboarding community and streetwear culture. First introduced in the late 1970s, these shoes feature the signature side stripe and a classic low-top silhouette, making them instantly recognizable. Designed with durability and performance in mind, the Old Skool combines canvas and suede uppers for a balance of flexibility and protection, catering to skateboarders who require both comfort and toughness.

Equipped with Vans' signature waffle outsole, these shoes provide excellent grip and board feel, essential for effective skateboarding. The padded collars add ankle support and cushioning, enhancing comfort during prolonged wear. While they excel in style and casual wear, their construction also makes them suitable for everyday use, blending performance with versatility.

Though not the most technologically advanced skate shoe on the market, the Vans Old Skool remains a favorite due to its timeless design, reliable performance, and reasonable price point. Whether you're hitting the skatepark or just looking for a stylish and comfortable sneaker, the Old Skool offers a dependable option that has stood the test of time.

Classic and Comfortable
I've been wearing Vans Old Skools for years, and they never disappoint. The fit is true to size, and the padded collar adds just the right amount of comfort. They look great both on and off the board.

Great Grip but Needs Break-In
These shoes provide excellent grip thanks to the waffle sole, which really helps when skating. However, the suede was a bit stiff at first and took a couple weeks to soften up.
